Interviews

Dad: Labor Day is always the first Monday in September. School always starts around Labor Day. My grandfather used to tell me about the unrest between workers and factory owners. Eventually they found a way to work together. Labor Day honors the American worker.

Mom: Modern Labor Day is pretty laid back. People go shopping because there are lots of sales. Labor Day is also when people switch from summer fashion to fall fashion. A lot of people cook out on Labor Day as well.

Daniel: School is off on Labor Day. Labor Day usually means my family is going to have a big dinner. Labor Day is usually a rest day. I usually don't do anything big on Labor Day.
