(info Fabiola, pictures from flickr.com)

In the United States , Mother's Day started nearly 150 years ago. The modern holiday of Mother's Day was first celebrated in 1908, when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother in Grafton , West Virginia . Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday in May. On Mother's Day, mothers everywhere get this special day to celebrate with their families. Some even get special gifts and cards from the heart.
